I agree. @Amy
By banning a popular currency (Credits) You'd just be creating problems for everyone and lose customers within GASR that only pay via credits.

how exactly am i attacking her family? wtf
now you're just making a situation out of no situation.@Capsule
yeah like i said there can be a subsection for those kinds of services. i do like badges so i dont want them to stop on gasr or anything, i was talking more about drawings@Fervent
i genuinely apologise if it seemed like i attacked your family, it wasnt my intention. from what i understood you were talking about asian families being strict and that a lot of asians here are unlikely to use real money for art since their parents wouldnt let them use paypal. thats where i said, hey, tell them whats going on then they will support you. if you distrust my apology, if you read what i said again, i said i relate to the situation therefore im positive if i were to attack those beliefs i would be attacking my family's beliefs too. again, sorry. this topic is not meant to be personal at all.@Galactial
yeah, again i think there should be a subsection or something. @Diabolus
what i meant by the paypal and gasr currency thing, is that we use paypal money to convert it to gasr currency
apart from that, since this is your field, ty for your input. i dont have a lot of understanding from this and i just thought it was a really good idea, i understand its hard, but i do love the website, and ive introduced it to a lot of art students and teachers i know, thus expecting it to grow and maybe one day mods will receive their salaries. all for the future i guess. im aware this isnt possible at the moment, but good to hear opinions from everyone overall :^)

This whole thread is just... what the actual fuck, man I agree with everything Mar, Queen, and Fervent said. They each gave respectful intelligent answers, and I feel as if you took none of them seriously enough to stop and really think about what they're saying.

As many people have said on this thread, getting rid of credits would only hurt the site, not make it grow. I accept both credits and PayPal. I used to only sell art through my IMVU art group.. now most people who ONLY go to art groups on IMVU don't pay with PayPal, so I accept credits through stickers.. which get converted to money (like a lot of artists on here who DO accept credits) Some artists just accept credits for credits.. and like Queen, Mar and Capsule said, a LOT of people use them for creating badges and products. If GASR got rid of credits, that would get rid of that aspect. If people don't have PayPal and they wanna buy a prepaid card to get credits for art, then awesome. It's their money, they can do whatever with it. It wouldn't be fair to them to cut out the only possible way they could pay for art. Some people are really passionate about collecting pieces from their favorite artists, and if they can only pay with credits.. then GASR would most likely be useless to them.. unless they just wanna stalk shops and cry from a distance cause they can't buy anything -shrugs- Personally, I think the way GASR is is fine right now.. There are still quite a few artists who accept both currencies, and maybe there will be more ways in the future to convert IMVU credits to money again, but until then, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

as someone that has used credits as payment for art, and then switched to paypal for various reasons.
I see your point in trying to help save money using paypal over credits.
But credits as a GASR currency creates an opportunity for those who can't use paypal or those that have an excessive amount of credits to buy art with said credits.
Credits may hinder the seller and buyer, but that is not the case for the growth of GASR.
Sellers AND buyers choose to use imvu as payment, some people may be losing more money than if they used paypal but again they CHOSE to spend that amount of money.
I'm surprised that this thread is still going as most if not all people see your point, but don't completely or at all agree.
I think it's great to have such a strong opinion on this subject, but there's a time when you need to start listening to the explanations of those you asked feedback from.

So, this is my penny's worth...
I sell my art for both credits and PayPal; and mainly, I accept credits because I can then use those credits again on GASR to buy artwork from other artists on here, to basically keep recycling the credits around GASR, in turn, this keeps the business of GASR going in a way. As others have said, IMVU credits is the second most popular way to pay for art here, so why get rid of it?
If they were to remove credits, I would have no way to buy art on here, as I'm very frugal with my real money, and tend to pump most of that into buying important stuff in real life; like university supplies, or groceries. I also do not purchase credits; I earn them from selling my artwork here and I am also an imvu creator, so, not everyone finds PayPal the cheaper option for art.
Also, this is a help and feedback thread; when people are giving you opinions, instances and feedback about your point, throwing it back in their faces is not the way to go, instead simply accept that people are discussing your point, not arguing about it.

No, the issue here is that you're not listening to people. Everyone already explained why we'll never ban credits, yet you insist that we should continue to discuss this.
Let's end this in a civilized manner and refrain from posting spam images, this is not the off topic, this is a section in which people give their feedback.
You have received the feedback from both mods and other members, it is now your choice whether you want to understand what we mean or not just like we understood your point, but explained why we still need credits in this forum. We do appreciate your feedback and took it into account but at the moment we feel like it won't be beneficial to GASR to ban credits, that is it.
We're gonna leave this thread open for a bit more in case anyone wants to leave their opinion here but please let's not make this personal, we're purely looking for ways to make GASR better.
