I'm a self taught artist/editor and was once an Instagram blogger but now I spend most of my times on IMVU doing DP art and maintaining a steady # of orders from various amazing people! One of my best accomplishments was winning 1st place locally in a Japanese Quiz Bowl in my state and won a chance to compete nationally against other states in Washington D.C. and so here I am still embracing my studies in Japanese although sometimes people think I look or am Japanese because I'm Asian haha. My favorite things are Anime, Utaite, Vocaloid, KPop, Fashion (especially Minimalism and Harajuku), Video Games, and Aesthetic Art :)

GASR Time

Sat May 07, 2016 11:53 pm
So I've been gone from gasr for a while, and I noticed that people are charging more for their art than they used to (which is awesome!) but that the credit to $$ ratio is different for everyone since reselling credits is no longer a thing. What would the average be?? like 10k credits = $??
Or if you have a more sophisticated way of explaining, please go ahead! Sorry for my simpleness LOL.

Well I don't really know 100% how people deal with credits now, but from what I can see it seems like they charge more in credits now since they're not worth as much for us users as they used to be.
As long as you don't use support tickets at least.
But then with that they can't access the money until they have at least $50 in their developer wallet.

So I think if someone chargers like... $10 for a DP they'll normally probably charge anywhere from 16,000-20,000 credits.

Some people might do it the even way, but people that prefer paypal will charge more for credit payment. I've seen some prices be converted completely messed up though honestly.

I guess really it depends on the individual xD But I'd say the ratio I put would be pretty fair for everyone.

The credit ratio is  1k = $0.40. It shouldn't be much different than that.
Personally I charge a tiny bit more in credits because I don't really need them for anything atm so it's mostly to discourage credit payments
I know what I do is wrong but since most people using credits just want to get rid of them I don't think it's much of a big deal.

Cool, thanks! I think that both those conversions make sense to me. So basically just over a 2:1 ratio, but completely up to the seller. Thank you! You can either delete this thread or keep it/lock it for people who also have the same question :>
