Artist of the Moment

Tarte

Visit my shop View my bio

I have been an artist on gasr for almost 5 years now, It took me so long to get to where I am now, and I am still learning. I'm currently a intern for makeup, still in school and have a part time job. Art has always been apart of my heart and it always was that "stress reliever" whenever i needed it. I have been into arts since the 5th grade once I started to draw on pencil and paper, and in 8th grade I found digital art and the amazing art of makeup. When I grew older, I found that art was all about me and I wanted to succeed in it. Many friends supported me in trying to work harder, many people helped me get to where I am now. Without art, I have no clue what id be doing. I enjoy seeing people's faces light up after I finish a piece or after im done beautifying their "imperfections". THAT inspires me.

Lets say you wanted the drawing on your dp to blink, you'd have to draw (depending on how realistic you'd want it etc.) one with its eyes open, mid way blink then fully closed, theres 2 ways of actually animating it on gimp with is replace and combine (There's also "i dont care" but you should always care! o:<) The gif making interface looks like this:

C l i c k:

Like I said before theres 2 options for your frame disposal (The way you want your frames //or layers\\ to merge and create the animation) For example, replace is when your images switch between the layers, like so:

C l i c k:

When you choose combine, it's basically like you have your base image and the layers on top of that get merged down "Combined" together.

I will be using my best friends practice dp as an example of blinking!

So let's say you want to use replace to make your character blink, once you finished your dp you need to make the following;

C l i c k:

I hope this helped you understand things a bit more for gimp animations! :)
