Hi everyone! I'm currently in my last year of university, graduating in May next year! I love art and I've tried my hand at various things such as drawing anime/chibis/doodles but it seems like I'm better at doing pixel art, so I've stuck with that since. I'm self-taught, so I'm still experimenting around with different styles. I've been running an active shop for over a year with a few hiatuses in between. I love GASR as it has a great community where I can interact with fellow artists and art lovers :) I've made many friends here over the years and I hope that continues for a long time to come!

I've never used my tablet on a mac, it installed just fine, but the pen pressure isnt working. I only have paint tool sai currently installed. Everything that ive looked up so far is talking about installing windows or something in order to work them both. Ive got windows 7 on a disk so i could, but is that necessary? or is there a way to get the pen pressure working without all that?

help me pls. drool

It's not your tablet, it's SAI's compatibility with MAC, SAI's pen pressure doesn't work on MAC.

Few solutions/alternatives I recommend trying are;
1.) Different program(s)
2.) [ if you don't want to switch programs/keep using sai ] Lowering the opacity and size on your brushes when you draw and such.

If you do want to check out other programs I suggest taking a look at these programs
- http://firealpaca.com/en
- http://drawpile.net/download/ (even though it's like iscribble it still has a lot of cool tools + pen pressure and you don't have to draw w/others)
- https://krita.org/download/krita-desktop/

OR
someone also posted this thread and others gave them feedback here as well

I see, I also installed photoshop today and the pin pressure is still off. Perhaps I should try different brushes.

Do you have the boxes checked on your photoshop brushes? So that your pen pressure works? Because I know some people forget to check those boxes or just didn't know that you had to.

You could also try reinstalling your driver or (I don't know how to do this on a mac or if you even can, but on hp you

I imagine there's something similar to it on mac though and you could probably find a way to work it out on there or research how to do so?

you could also try removing all ur tablet preferences and then restoring them to see if it fixes itself
