Hey guys, so my Sai has been messing up every now in then. It says my memory is too high and so it lags when I draw. I checked online and someone suggested to erase my trash. That worked for awhile, but it has started doing it again. I still have plenty of memory on my computer and so I don't know what's going on. It's never done this in the past until recently. I've deleted all my programs I no longer use and backed up photos/videos to my usb and other sharing sites.

I have an iMac and macbook pro. This is also happening on my photoshop, but I rarely use photoshop unless I'm on campus where it's already loaded to the iMacs there. I've tried everything I can think of so far. I'm wondering if anyone else has had this issue and what they did to solve it. Thanks.

*edit: Thought I should mention that I use a parallels program, but it's not that since I've used different stuff and everything works fine. I also have tried turning off both my iMac and restarting windows.

Are there any cache's you can clear out for both?

I've never had this issue either, but I'm on Windows.

Did a little research, hopefully this can help you.

Photoshop -

Why you're getting the error message for not enough memory:

"The reason for this is that Photoshop always creates a scratch file the instant you create a new file or open an existing document, and it estimates the needed size based on assumptions it makes as a result of your workflow history in the past.  It does this for every open file."

They suggest that if you use photoshop for numerous files, that you try to aim for a 1TB harddrive because of that.

I can't find much of anything for Sai, but that's probably because it's not an English program.

Unrelated, but that new name is bae. eue

I found out I had like 150+ updates for my windows program. Updates always come up at the most inconvenient times and so I click "remind me tomorrow". So I did an update and it seemed to help. My memory went from 93% to 30%. Sai hates me. Basically what is happening is when I go to write/draw it is the laggiest line work. For now it seems to be solved. Thanks!

omg thanks  @D@

Idk man. Call Apple and tell them their memory sucks, LOL.

The memory usually poops me when you use too big of a size of canvas/image.
Make sure to check your options because
You should keep it below your recommended size there too!
The lower you make that number (In options!) The more memory your sai should run with. At least it did for me when I had this problem in the past!

Hope it halps
