Artist of the Moment

Visit my shop View my bio

I have been an artist on gasr for almost 5 years now, It took me so long to get to where I am now, and I am still learning. I'm currently a intern for makeup, still in school and have a part time job. Art has always been apart of my heart and it always was that "stress reliever" whenever i needed it. I have been into arts since the 5th grade once I started to draw on pencil and paper, and in 8th grade I found digital art and the amazing art of makeup. When I grew older, I found that art was all about me and I wanted to succeed in it. Many friends supported me in trying to work harder, many people helped me get to where I am now. Without art, I have no clue what id be doing. I enjoy seeing people's faces light up after I finish a piece or after im done beautifying their "imperfections". THAT inspires me.

also for people who are mostly costumers/buying art most of the time wouldn't be so happy that they have to buy creds from imvu now?

(im just wondering too like people who don't have paypal, do you guys ask your parents etc to purchase credits for you with their bank acc or do you go to stores where you get those imvu prepaid cards, like since most people who don't have a personal acc still needs someone who do to purchase an online thing right)

and i thought about the earning real money thing but giving tax info...N0

This is a incredibly ridiculous choice IMVU has made,
and it's going way too far with them wanting to make
more money. I know people are starting to call the IRS
because of this.

@Tetsu, right??? Finally finished reading through and I am not giving my information to them. This'll just be a pain with tax season. I'm better off just finding someone who wants to buy credits at like $0.50 per 1k <:

Also, this is probably a sign they're going downhill if they've become so desperate.

I remember when I first started selling art on GASR, I had to use IMVU
for the first several months, because I was 17, and I couldn't get onto Paypal.
And me personally, my parents were never involved with this portion of my life,
they don't really think it's fruitful or helpful/necessary in any way, so I've been in this
all on my own, so I can only feel for those going through the same shit.

Now, I can use Paypal, and I rarely, if ever spend credits on IMVU anymore.
They're seriously screwing us over by doing this, I mean, they're literally chopping
people's shops in half by limiting their source of payment and whatever.
Like hell people are gonna just take this shit lying down.

@Rosiecakes, ikrrr.
I'm already super dumb with taxes, I don't even have a job irl, so i know little to nothing
about taxes. and why would anyone legit trust imvu with tax info - o -

Not sure if want probably the people desperate to "make more" off all the credits they make off catalog sales. Stupid though, this is just a lot more work for imvu and I'm sure a frookup will happen and leak personal tax info.

This is really annoying though... but bright side is people might go more for paying via paypal than credits since credit sales on imvu will probably thin out again (means $1/1k price) since they'll be cutting off the bit that was stopping them, resellers. Still though, idk.

IMVU has an annual revenue of over 50$ Million USDollars, why on earth do they need to do this?

This is a good point... I doubt they have more than 50 employees too.. I doubt they all get $1 mill each ¬_¬
(i know there is other things when it comes to business and expenses.. I've studied myself.. just making a point you could say..)

It's sickening to see how money-hungry IMVU is. I hope all of this can be turned around, I find it illogical and completely unfair of them.
Wed Apr 08, 2015 5:33 pm
Problem is private reselling will be at the $1-1k rate too
I don't know much about the resellers but I'm thinking that IMVU sold credits to resellers for less which is why you could buy them cheaper?

Unless ofcourse, people are able to carry on selling credits to resellers (aka supplying them) while resellers sell credits (maybe with a limit) by using the give credits action or filing tickets

gosh this is messy af

I know, it's hard to match my credits with my Payapl prices when first metaalways converts less
but I don't know many others, and since this one worked for me, I'm like meh, until I find a better, just as easier/easier one. But apparently that won't even be an issue in a week.
