Artist of the Moment

Visit my shop View my bio

I'm a self taught artist/editor and was once an Instagram blogger but now I spend most of my times on IMVU doing DP art and maintaining a steady # of orders from various amazing people! One of my best accomplishments was winning 1st place locally in a Japanese Quiz Bowl in my state and won a chance to compete nationally against other states in Washington D.C. and so here I am still embracing my studies in Japanese although sometimes people think I look or am Japanese because I'm Asian haha. My favorite things are Anime, Utaite, Vocaloid, KPop, Fashion (especially Minimalism and Harajuku), Video Games, and Aesthetic Art :)

Hey. I wanted to know what size canvas can I edit on? It looks so clear big, but then when I use the Shift+Alt with the
transfer tool and adjust it, it's blurry. So should I use another program to crop? To me, using cs6 to sharpen and crop
makes it look funny. Someone please please can you help me?

Hi! I draw from scratch but I always start with 1800 x 2400 canvas size with 720 Resolution, and Use the box selection tool then Canvas>Crop by selection (with SAI) , then later I'll do more editing on PS (sharpen etc.)

Idk if this is the answer ou are looking for but I hope I helped somehow xD

do you mean dp's?
if you do, this is the only way i seem to be able to reduce the size of a screenie without it getting all messed up
first, open up your screenie
go to canvas > change resolution > (if you took a *hiresnobg it should be something around 2048x2048)
what i do now is change this usually to around 900x900 (i always change to either 700, 800, 900 or sometimes 1000 depending on how large the screenie is, however i edit as 320x440 so if you edit on a 160x220 then the 900 should go down to something like 600)
i then go to canvas > change size > 320x440
once i've finished editing, i'll bring this down to 160x220
as far as i know, this is the only way to bring down the size without fuzzyness
i hope this helped!

On SAI, canvas>change size helps for cropping. You can then move the image and resize it to where you want.
But if you actually want to make the image smaller without cropping it, you can go on canvas>change resolution.
If you're talking about DP's and all, good sizes would be 320x440 or anything with the ratio of 8:11.
