Artist of the Moment

Tarte

Visit my shop View my bio

I have been an artist on gasr for almost 5 years now, It took me so long to get to where I am now, and I am still learning. I'm currently a intern for makeup, still in school and have a part time job. Art has always been apart of my heart and it always was that "stress reliever" whenever i needed it. I have been into arts since the 5th grade once I started to draw on pencil and paper, and in 8th grade I found digital art and the amazing art of makeup. When I grew older, I found that art was all about me and I wanted to succeed in it. Many friends supported me in trying to work harder, many people helped me get to where I am now. Without art, I have no clue what id be doing. I enjoy seeing people's faces light up after I finish a piece or after im done beautifying their "imperfections". THAT inspires me.

Yea this font is horrible, I am having a hard time reading it, makes the forum kinda of amateur looking.  I like the forumotion bar though, and the fact that I can close it so it doesn't show.  But I wouldn't pay for something like this

Well as it looks now, we're paying NO money for it.
So if you like it like this then it can stay like this.
The money would be putting towards what I explained in the first post.

I'm sorry for posting so much the tagging thing makes it difficult when tagging more than one person.
But I want to show you guys that I'm responding to each and everyone of you

@bedlam: I read that, calm down. I WAS referring to the site expenses and not the toolbars

The tagging thing threw me off too, lol.

^ this.

also I don't like this new font, but the toolbar is really helpful I don't need to refresh every few mins to see if I've gotten any messages.

First of all,  I don't use caps to like internet yell at people, I use them to emphasize particular things.
I often misread things and misinterpret what people say but I'm re-reading your post and it's like ??
You still jumped to conclusions that all the money will be automatically put to this regardless of what people want.
We won't use this money towards this immediately.
Obviously, as stated many times in my post.

So?

And you know, telling someone to "calm down" is incredibly douchey jsyn. Then hopping on the bandwagon to tell someone that as well who wasn't even talking to you is sorta well...

Also on another note, I'm leaning more towards yes but not spending any money now.
Cause the ugly links are gone
That's all I wanted.

And it's too much money.

Yeah like I've also set the ability to "cancel" your vote and made the sections much more clear about what you are voting for

There's

Yes - Spend $9 a month to remove forumotion's logo
Yes - but it's fine like it is now
No

No. Obviously, this topic wouldn't be made if that were the case. I'm saying that it seems to make the long term pot of expenses a lot bigger than seems sustainable for this site. I think that if donations are really slowing down to the point where Katelyn has been paying out of pocket for basic things then that's going to be a problem later too.

If people really want this feature, then cool. I personally don't care for it. I still think you're overreacting a bit to my posts.

Okay thanks for expanding on that.
And that comes out really sarcastically (when I read that back to myself) but I actually am sincere. I appreciate it when people do clear things up with what they are trying to say.

If that's how you feel, I probably jumped the gun with my reaction.
You just gotta understand I'm sick and tired of people who don't donate to the forum being liek
ew no

It just bothers me a lot.
I do come off as sorta mean and I apologize.

However, don't tell someone to calm down cause that never helps.
Friends?

Ahh okay, thats unfortunate LOL.

ANYWAYS I DO APPRECIATE THE FEEDBACK
SO PLEASE DO GIVE MORE

And it sucks that the toolbar sucks on mobile.

I feel like the donations kind of stopped/dwindled when the thread got locked. and the balance of the gasr account stopped being said on the post. we had no way of knowing that the account balance had dwindled to the point of paying out of pocket other than it being said that the forum would be as free until February.   personally, when I saw the account was locked, I thought that donations weren't needed even though the post said otherwise. To me it was like donations weren't being taken. Maybe other users see it like that too?

I have an iPhone 5c and it looks like this.
I've experienced no problems with it.
Maybe its just my phone?~

I also changed my vote to keep it, but don't pay for anything extra. Since all the little icons at the top were removed.

It works fine when I'm on mobile :o  I get the notifications and everything. Doesn't stretch either.
Though I have the iPhone 4S and I didn't update like most people have when the new update for it came out.

Voted for the "Yes - but the way the tool bar is now is fine" because I like how it is now.
It's fairly easy to ignore the ugly stuff and it kinda fits.
I think the notification bar would look too plain without it (if i'm understanding the ugly part is the forumotion logo and search).
If the $9 a month thing is only going towards those two ugly parts than I don't think it's worth it or that big of a deal?
IDK just what i'm thinking from what I understand so far.
