Artist of the Moment

Visit my shop View my bio

Hi everyone! I'm currently in my last year of university, graduating in May next year! I love art and I've tried my hand at various things such as drawing anime/chibis/doodles but it seems like I'm better at doing pixel art, so I've stuck with that since. I'm self-taught, so I'm still experimenting around with different styles. I've been running an active shop for over a year with a few hiatuses in between. I love GASR as it has a great community where I can interact with fellow artists and art lovers :) I've made many friends here over the years and I hope that continues for a long time to come!

I don't know where to put this comment, but for the blue highlight bit you can put current announcements or new updates. ^^".

Oh, it doesn't say that on the post, but i guess we're getting a little offtopic xD

Oh and to this topic, I think it's okay,i'm 50/50 on it as well. I like the fact it can be hidden, also the grey color is really easy on the eyes. ^^"

Sorry I'm spewing bad information.
Kate's been in charge of the finances.
You don't PM her you just send credits to the account listed on that page.
Which is why there's no need to have the thread open to be posted in.
We still take donations though, towards the forum always.

@ KataraKnight - thanks for the idea but that is the plan with the announcement thing :>

Okay so a couple of you have said you're 50/50

What don't you like about it?

Oh yay Jen removed the ugly share buttons HURRAH

It reminds me of how facebook notifications are like, but I don't mind the toolbar and it helps with notifications from topics I am watching instead of checking for emails!  eue

I Love the idea of quick links to important things then clicking the normal way to get to watch topic etc.
I say spend the 1$ a month, but figure out on how to get the dollar and to balance out the cost of the monthly domain fee.
Maybe open a shop where you charge the normal paypal for art and that goes into a bank account strictly for the 1$ or domain thing.
Im rabbling here.
Also try and see if you can get an IM system to work.
instead of having a memory for the pms for pick up you should have a Gasr-wide IM Like me contacting Guthix without being her friend.

also a part of having a friends list also.

Keep the pm for the bigger msg ie. Pictures

Also removing the clutter would make it look better and less of an eye sore.

If this doesnt make any sense ...just let me kknow

I'm going to be the party pooper since I handle the GASR's finances, but to support the forum to be ad-free for one year it costs us shortly over $207 USD

To have the customized (aka "not-ugly") toolbar, it is just over $104 USD per year

For both, it would be $311 or about 900k

If you're all willing to chip in, I say go for it! The past few months I've been paying out-of-pocket for the GASR's ad-free stuff, so if we can get more people donating then that would be fantastic!

The toolbar is hella nifty, if I do say so myself eue

I actually really like the toolbar~
The notifications help and work out really well when I'm on mobile and/or on the computer.
I don't get those little pop up ad things anymore when a PM comes through which I adore so much ;D;
The whole drop down menu with the nifty links are visually appealing and helpful too.

It's all just really cool  eue
And that IM thing that Melancholic mentioned would be an awesome thing~

Derping around. Just with the IM idea.:

From what I can tell, we can't customize the toolbar to that extent, unfortunately D8

What we can do is remove the forumotion links aaaaand change some icons

This is all we got LOL

The greyed-out boxes are what we would be able to edit once we buy the toolbar/copyrights

Well ive been looking around all
I found to the IM thing is to play a chatbox to the actual site
not to the personal toolbar.
Also for the 1$ month thing,
We should somehow work at each person maybe on rotation or something.
You can opt out, per month someone can pay or give a dollar to you from their shop,
just a dollar though.
then it would be slightly regulated?

Lol. Js, since I personally feel bad that Kat has to pay out of pocket for this site type thing I unno.

Plus I looked aroound a bit
and found this
You can set it to private etc as far as I read, and chat amoung other members.
As far as people are saying its pretty good.
but I unno.
just winging out ideas

I'm not going to buy your cheeseburger for you at McDonalds, why should I buy your toolbar if I don't want it?~
/I do but js

Regardless, the forum runs on the few donations we get from users as well as myself paying out-of-pocket; domain name and being ad-free takes priority over all, so it's totally up to you guys if you want the fancy toolbar @D@

Again, I'm totally for it though
